About Meliant Health
Meliant Health was founded with a singular purpose: to empower individuals and veterans through compassionate, evidence-based healthcare that sees the whole person—not just the diagnosis. Born in Georgia, Meliant began as a grassroots effort to support underserved veterans with accurate, timely Nexus Letters and supportive care during a time when many felt overlooked by the traditional system. What started with a commitment to advocacy and patient-centered support quickly evolved into a broader vision: to provide accessible, functional healthcare that serves both veterans and everyday adults across all walks of life.
In 2024, Meliant Health expanded operations to Arizona to better meet the growing demand for veteran services in the Southwest and to bring integrative adult primary care to a wider population. This strategic move allowed us to build on our foundation while establishing full clinical operations in a state that supports innovation, accessibility, and a high standard of care. With licensed providers in both Arizona and Georgia, and Nexus support available nationwide, we remain rooted in our mission while scaling our impact.
Today, Meliant Health offers a hybrid model of telehealth, in-person care, and national Nexus consultation services. We specialize in adult primary care, chronic illness management, pain management, and VA claim documentation—delivered with integrity, functional insights, and a deep respect for our patients’ experiences. Dr. Melissa Arriagada is a distinguished healthcare provider specializing in Primary Care, Pain Management, and Veteran Healthcare. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), she brings nearly two decades of diverse clinical experience to her patients. Her career spans critical care, orthopedics, and community-based healthcare, reflecting her deep commitment to personalized, accessible, and compassionate care.
In July 2019, Dr. Arriagada presented a DNP scholarly project at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her project implemented an Opioid Risk Assessment Tool in a Multidisciplinary Pain Management Practice—highlighting her leadership in improving patient safety and clinical outcomes in pain care.
Her continued dedication to advancing healthcare is evident through her involvement in clinical research, including studies on acute post-operative pain, non-opioid treatment alternatives, and long-term care coordination for veterans. These efforts support her mission to deliver high-quality, evidence-based medical solutions to those who have served our country.
